Sort of, but not really. According to the judge?s instructions, when in deliberation, the jury can request that specific portions of the testimony be read back to them by the court reporter. The jury must be very specific indicating the name of the witness, the subject of the testimony they want read back and the name of the attorney asking the questions (when the testimony was given).
The court reporter is only allowed to read that specific portion of the testimony back to the jury.
