It makes the computer screen have more of an orange tint, so it is easier to look at a white screen. I've already had it for a while, it is pretty nice. I figured I should share it now in case some people are really bothered by the white.

Thank you, while try this one later today. Had already try to find a way to adjust trough it trough profile, alto could not find any unless I overlooked something.

I don't think this is the final theme for the site. I think alex mentioned changing it based on feedback.

hope most of the feedback says "darker." I noticed upon posting that my post "landed" on a darker blue part, maybe the blue parts could cover the whole page?

try the "Color This Site!" add-on for firefox

I was able to change mine to this after tinkering around for few mins

you can save it to specific sites too so it doesn't effect other stuff

Thank you!

I was able to use this addon to create a much more pleasant color scheme. It's not perfect, but it's better than that blinding white mess.

Thank you for the link. It does seem to be a bit easier on the eyes now.

Also, I'm not sure if you can get it for Chrome but... I have Stylish. I just converted the colors to black and orange because the white was bugging me. I think in the future, if it's possible, and someone can do it, is to make a black version of the forums for people with bright sensitivities.

Edit: The only issue it has is if you use the one I do, it changes ALL your sites... and I don't like it doing that. It doesn't look very good at all.

It is a wee bit hard on the eyes, the new color scheme. When I first started reading, it felt like I just had my pupils dilated.

I have had F.Lux for awhile now and the white still hurts me. It's like looking into a light bulb.

Stylish is available in the Chrome web store [free] but like a lot of things there- there is little reference on how to use it? I am not sure what to do with it and I kind of only have half a brain lately anyway with some things. I couldn't find anything explicit.

I have my computer screen set to 20% brightness and it's fine with me. If I had it set for full brightness then it would definitely hurt my eyes.

It's hard to figure out. It took me a while, and I also suck at explaining it. X_x I should maybe make a short video of me using it or something, but then you guys would catch all the stuff I'm listening to. D:

Well, this add-on helps. Why did they change the site like this?
It's too frickin bright.

Alternatively check out FMX's sig in this post here:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=271003&start=60#p6355777

I have Chrome and installed Stylish and this guy's theme in about 20 seconds. It's the original blue/green colour scheme if you're interested.

PS: I use f.lux and it's fantastic for using the internet at night time. But even with f.lux I found WP's new design too bright. If you find f.lux makes everything too orange at first, then try messing about with the settings. Give it a few days as well; once your eyes adapt then it stops looking weirdly orange and just starts looking normal.
