I'm actually very logical and rational. I'd say I'm more of a numerical thinker.

Hey OP, you've got synesthesia!

I have the same type; it's called ticker-tape. I literally see the words, but they're all in my head, which makes it associative synesthesia rather than projected.

I think primarily in pictures. I also have... words in my brain, but... it's more like an echo of a thought than a thought itself.

I think in dialogue and talk to myself incessantly.

And, as I have known since I was a young child, I think without pictures, words, or anything. I simply, succinctly, specifically, think.

This is called "unsymbolic thought". Has anyone else heard of or partook it?

We did an online quiz in college and I got Kinaesthetic, Naturalistic, Visual/Spatial, Intrapersonal and Logical. The other things you could get (Linguistic, Interpersonal and Musical) I got next to zero on the others were pretty equal and much much higher. Everyone else had pretty equal graphs, mine were either high or low no inbetween.

I think visually, but also with sounds accompanying sometimes. if i try to think in words, it turns into a scrambled mess of letters and words that i can't decipher.

I have a pretty funny way of thinking. Often I find myself narrating a lot of things but at the same time I have this funny way of picture association (if that makes any sense). Basically, for example, when I think of the early 2000s, I have this image of dark and stormy weather, night time, and everything looking slightly "grey". Generally though there's a good reason for my picture associations (broadcasts from the early 2000s seem to be slightly grainy; not to mention a lot of memories from this time seem to take place at night).

Ice Cube fan?

Since you're from Oaktown perhaps you're a Too Short fan as well?

I don't know what "Visual Wordly" means. I see pictures and I narrate. (I believe this is pretty common.) If I can't visualize something, I struggle a lot and can barely manage to think about it. I am terrible at math because there is no good way (that I know of) to accurately visualize large sums of numbers.

Huge 1990s hip hop fan in general. Not just Too Short but Spice 1, E-40, Mac Dre, 2Pac, etc (though honestly my favorite rapper is Nas)

It depends. There are times when I can think in pictures, and others when I think in words. Usually, when I think in words, it's because I'm typing something. I end up imagining it first before actually getting everything down too.

I mostly think visually because I prefer it that way. Narrative? It's gibberish half the time! :D Sounds? Varies, mostly only when sounds are involved.

I play music in my mind in the background while I think sometimes, but it usually distracts my focus. I think the repeating music in my head is more of a way to cope with anxiety and doesn't really help the thinking process so much.

I'm NOT a visual person so I think in words that I say in my head.

I love(d) Feynman. I thought these short videos were very relevant to this subject.
He has great ways of explaining things.

Really? Thanks, I've always wanted to know what it was called. I tried asking my bt, but all she did was look at me funny. I googled it, and ended up finding out that I have ticker tape and mirror touch. I only thought synethesia was limited to colour vision sound. Thanks. :D
