Do you have social anxiety, or a lot of anxiety in general?
It's probably fear that causes you to say sorry too much, kind of like an act on impulse. Have you been yelled at in the past for not apologizing when another believed you should have?
Yes, I suffer from anxiety. At my full time job my managers tell me I'm not doing my job well enough. They ask why things that come natural for my peers are so difficult for me. I do not understand what they are referring to. I ask for clarification and they say that I should know what there talking about. I think I have developed some paranoia. Now because I do not know what I'm doing wrong I just say I'm sorry all the time. The manager that asked me to stop saying it is at my part time job. I just started working in the photo center last month. I'm in the process of learning and getting use to my co-workers. I seem to be in the way when it is real busy. I'm standing and watching what they are doing in order to learn. I get bumped into allot. I forgot to take the trash out one night because it is not something I'm use to doing. When I told them I'm sorry about that I also told them I must be losing my mind and that I would make sure to remember next time. I'm working in retail and I think in general they do not want us to say I'm sorry to the customers either. It is telling them that the store made a mistake.
