I have never found your posts to be like that AB, you are consistently very empathetic to others and when you disagree you do so respectfully without making personal attacks.

No one said anything or alluded to anyone being better than anyone else except for you starfox. No one is expecting or looking for treatment better than anyone else either.

That's a good idea, if you care about others opinion of you too much. People will always disagree but some with agree to.

I want to help you though. I don't want you to feel like you can't do everything you'd like. For real I think it's a shame...

What happens if you invalidate someone who accidentally invalidated them with the intent of validating?

I think AuntBlabby is really cool. There's no reason for him to feel "invalidated."

AuntBlabby has a great amount of knowledge, and should not let idiots make him a hermit.

I don't like obsessing about "invalidation." There's no reason for anyone to be or feel "invalid."

If someone wants to "invalidate" me, I always have a curt answer. Make my day!

^^^
:star: THANK YOU Kraftkortie :D
the way I relate to people is, I like to break bread, I like to engage in atonement in the biblical sense [AT-ONE-MENT], IOW I like to be on other people's level and be heart-to-heart with them in the manner that I would like if the shoe were on the other foot. when somebody is feeling bad, I fall back on "misery loves company" and I tell the other person I acknowledge their pain, then [in the interest of at-one-ment and making them feel they are not suffering alone] I tell them I've been down that road also and have felt the bumps so I know a little bit of where they're coming from, but all too often they are offended by me at this point. this leaves me flummoxed. I guess what I find comforting in how I'd like to be treated ["misery loves company"], is really an outlier in interpersonal terms.

Is it acceptable to respond to an invalidation with an invalidation?

I guess it depends who makes the rules. I don't think there is an actual real rule.
