People ask me if I'm okay a lot when I'm absolutely fine. I'm told that my *blank* expression says all kinds of awful things, like "I'm going to cry," "I hate hate your guts," and "You're a moron." It doesn't upset me though, when people ask that. I'm used to it.

Sounds familiar. I've had "do you fancy *insert name here*" quite often as a result of going into blank stare mode, and said person then sitting in my line of sight. Most annoying.

I get it all the time, usually when I'm 'in my head' and not paying attention to the outside world. Must be something in my body language, I guess.

You guys and gals are BRAVE! I don't let myself stare for long. I HAVE been kind of doing it on the road though. I don't even have time alone in my CUBE!(Short for cubicle which is a way that many "offices" in the US have been for over a decade.) That is a pity since it would be helpful on several levels. As for the question? I used to be asked that a lot. Less so now because I have gotten into more NT like habits. I guess people around me don't care as much anyway. I even used to ask the same question before, out of spite, and now did it more for habit. I say "did", because I won't do it after seeing this. What's the point anyway? It isn't like I could likely help.

Steve

LOL I get worse than that. I get *insert name here* hovering over me and following me around because he thinks I'm interested as a result of blank stare. I never even see him, but it makes no difference. In NT language that means you are interested. Very annoying, especially when they start trying to put the make on your or worse and you have no idea why.
