By deed to the house you mean my fathers house?
my father and i are both homeless, i live in my grandfathers garage and my dad lives in a shack he built himself on my grandfathers property which does not have running water or plumbing.
Is your father getting your grandfather house upon his death? I assume he is? I don't know the whole family setup? All three of you should have a talk about the house when your grandfather passes or whether he is thinking of selling after his death.
We all live on a first nations reserve, the rules work like this: no one owns any houses if a house is vacant, you can live in it. Besides my father isn't an only child, he has 4 sisters, one sisiter is adopted and only 15 years old.
If i want a house on the reserve, i need to ask the chief and right now the chief isnt giving anyone houses...ESPECIALLY anyone in my family.
you see on this reserve there are two familys, the Simons, and the Sanipasses(my family) we are distantly related but we HATE each other and the chief is a simon so she will give all her family paved driveways and new decks but she wont even give me, any of my cousins, or my great aunt a house...
