I have read more anecdotal stories from parents of adult autistics and teens that claim their kids are less likely to engage in "risky" behavior. They claim it's a benefit.

LOL That reminds me. I read this book when I was 9 yrs old called "The Nine Months." It was written by this Ob/Gyn and told every single detail of three completely different pregnancies from beginning to delivery. I think my eyes were perpetually shaped like saucers while I read that. It was the grossest thing ever! I kept thinking, EWWWWWW, why would you do that to get a kid who makes noise and moves a lot. I wasn't into kids even when I was a kid. I didn't change much. LOL

I don't know. I can see it on one hand, my 12 year old will not go on an amusement ride if his life depended on it, and avoided kids play equipment at all costs, due to the "danger". He won't chat online, or even send a single message to WP because he was told "not to" by the police at cop camp. Still, he would take his bike, and fly down a 3 story hill with a ditch that worked as a "jump" at the end, because hey, "it was fun". He has a broken arm right now, becuase he was swinging from a rope like tarzan and it broke!

99% of the time, he is overcautious, the other 1 %, it is a disaster! :lol:

I think though, that with some AS individuals, they don't see "risks" as being "risks", if they don't grasp the conciquences from their own deductions, they very often will not learn from others teachings...

Now, many do "get it", but for those that don't, it is particularly dangerous...

Maybe it really is not much different then the NT crowd though, and I am making something out of nothing...
