Other people using your stuff without permission?
It's a huge no-no to tune someone else's guitar. He shouldn't have even picked it up.
We have an extended family member who asks us to give him a fairly nice speaker cabinet whenever he's in our house. My husband hasn't used it in years and I am only keeping it at this point because it's not a common brand and it would likely wind up in the hands of the family member. Like, don't come over and ask me to GIVE you things.
I am alone primarily so, this does not affect me. When the wife and I were together though, it was a constant source of anxiety and arguments. Not finding things, etc. She would get all huffy and tell me she touched nothing. Well, last week, the wife came by, we talked, and she is a compulsive cleaner. So, she did a bit of stuff. Well, I had to find a paper. She told me she did not move it. She told me the last place she saw me with it.
Well, she came over a couple of days later for something else and I told her to help me find it. Now, after all the "I don't move things" and blah, blah, blah....where was it?
It was in a bag of mail that she just scooped up and put in the secure mail trash. Needless to say I pounced on the opportunity to remind her that this is what I was always talking about. No argument though.....that was nice.
What drives me nuts is that things are not left where I left them or not being used properly. And, for goodness sake, just be courteous and ask!
What's so damned hard about that?

There is definite ettiquette about guitars- they are very personal things. I wouldn't pick up someone's instrument without asking. While I'd happily then tune it up, I wouldn't even dare ASK if I could change it to another tuning. (The only exception is the house guitar at an open mic.)

You're so vain
I bet you think this sig is about you
Possibly even more so if they think they are doing you a favour by "tidying" and "organising".
I hate mostly when people just take something without my permission even if I say no they still do.
(My shoes,my phone,my pencil,pen,etc.)
This is mostly done by my brother.
