Islamic extremism wouldn't exist now if the USA hadn't armed and trained them in Afghanistan to get one over on Russia. They're doing the same now by arming extremists in Syria to overthrow Assad, when Syria under Assad is one of the most liberal middle east countries where Christians and other groups have lived in peace for a long time. While the USA couldn't care about what the extremist nation Saudi Arabia do. That leaves one of two options, the USA wants Islamic extremists to exist, or they're dragging us into WW3 by them being idiots.

I approve of this plan.

I am into it because it's fun and I like it, also gives good excuse to get more walking in. However I never had any interest in Shades of Grey looked into it vaguely due to all the craze about it and it looked like garbage that romantacizes abuse or something. I don't know what the hell a kardashian is nor do I want to. Most people who play it do it because it's fun for them, not because it's been shoved their face like the two afore mentioned things.

You don't run around and stare at your phone the entire time, you have to walk around so it's more glancing at your phone as you walk to see what's close on the game...it vibrates if there is a pokemon nearby. Also the 'pokestops' which are locations you can re-up on items are set at various points of interest such as cool statues, art work or things like that which you would miss looking at if you're eyes are glued to the screen the whole time.

The point is walking around exploring and having fun catching and battling pokemon...but I am curious what are these 'better things' us adults ought to be doing instead?

As for being good for autism I have seen a couple articles about it helping to get autistic kids out of the house and more active in cases where thus far they spend much time inside, seems to be more lower functioning autistic its having the most profound affect on.

I don't understand what it is...I saw a video that showed people looking for these game characters in the "real world" instead of in the game. It looked like something that would be dangerous for kids to play, or even for adults - I already see enough people crossing the street while looking down at their phones.

Well than the problem is people not putting their phone down to cross the street. I play the game and I don't look at it while crossing the street....it's that simple. When I was a kid my parents very much empathized the point of being careful when crossing the street and not doing it distracted. The game itself says 'stay alert' before it loads implying that you need to use normal outdoors caution when playing, not stupidly keep your eyes glued to the screen without a care in the world in complete ignorance to your surroundings.

I don't really know what it is either. If it's currently trendy, it's probably not for me. I haven't got a smartphone either, I guess that's kind of important.

Nope. Sounds like it's a form of brainwashing. I have more important things to occupy my time.

How is it a form of brainwashing? It doesn't promote any specific political or religious ideologies or ways of thinking, which are things required for that.

My phone can't even run it. I'm more into the main series Pokemon games, anyway.

It's a really fun game! My husband has it on his phone and I have it on mine. Our kids play them on our phones. My son, who has Aspergers loves the game. His twin sister who in an NT, also really enjoys it. I would say my son has a slight obsession, nothing crazy though.

I have no reason to play that stupid game. I prefer the sign I saw in front of a Baptist church outside Hershey Friday night: Let Pokemon Go and come to Christ instead.

Meh, I'd rather play pokemon go than go to church.

why look at a screen all day while outside? There are fantastic REAL creatures living right in the very same grass and bushes you walk around in!! !
