I go way back----to when Jean Ratelle, Rod Gilbert, Eddie Giacomin, and Vic Hadfield were on the team. I remember thinking that Phil Esposito was the enemy, and that it was weird that he came from the Bruins to the Rangers.
Off Topic: The Rangers will put Ratelle’s number 19 in the rafters on the 25th of this month.
That Espo trade was discombobulating. So was the ill fated 1/2 year when Bryan Trottier was the Rangers coach.
In the 60’s and early 70’s the Rangers practice facility was a few blocks from me.
