It would be better if i were born normal. I mean, id probably still have anxiety because it runs in my family but i beleive that it would have been better if i were not autistic

Didnt realize that it worked that way.

The only options are: impaired, or bad.

And further:that no impaired people are bad, and that all unimpaired people are bad.

You've misunderstood my post if this is what you think it means. Seems like black & white thinking you're doing here.

I was being sarcastic to show that it sounded like you were doing black and white thinking in your OP.

You seemed to be assuming that "not autistic = bad person", and that "autistic = good person".

That's true, but being a bully or a manipulator, for example, require social intuition and good processing abilities, so someone who lacks these things seems less likely to be that sort of person.

Yes, because being rude, ignorant, embarrassing, annoying, dependent on others and all around difficult to be around is better?

So I am naturally a "Biff Tannen" sort of person who does not choose to bully or manipulate. I use these abilities to read situations, to interpret for other people, and largely to keep myself out of trouble.

I think if I had been autistic instead of neurotypical I would either be doing much better or much worse than I am now. It would probably depend on random variables which way it would have gone.

+1

I don't think I would have been horrible as an NT, but I would be different as a result of having more standard sociocultural experiences in life.
I might not have developed the same perspective on life, but I think I would be similar, it would depend on how different my environment would have been as a result of being more typical and what that nurtured.
