I am living with my folks, too. I'm not the most sentimental or appropriate human being on the planet but I know with utter certainty I would be dead without the support they've shown me, family issues or not.

Yes. Anxiety is one of the major reasons I haven't moved out yet. I get extremely paranoid in public places with other people around and have sometimes lashed out at strangers. That and I'm no good with appliances.

I'm 50 and I WISH that I had the luxory of living with my parents but hasn't really been a reality since I was a teen. I envy those that still have your parents willing to support you. Lucky!

31 and still at home. I did live in a college dorm as a teen and with a room mate about 20 minutes from their house for about 18 months from age 24 to 25 but she had some serious mental issues. It was really not a healthy environment for me because she took everything out on me. I really thought she was my friend and I thought I had to be there to help here. I mean I am not perfect so she does not mean what she says. No, long term I realized she did and understood how to use someone like me. I made the mistake of being honest about my autism. That and ended up unemployed made me go home where I have been since.

I feel really bad about it. My parents are getting old and I should not be their problem. I have a younger sister who just went to college and never came back besides a few times over break like you are supposed to do. She makes me feel like a looser. It gets tense because as my parents care I know they wish I was gone too between my age and certain lifestyle choices I have different to them.

I'm in the situation now where I just can not make enough money to be live on my own. :(

I live in Colorado where the rent has gone sky high in the last few years. Legal weed I guess but I have no college degree so I am worth 9 maybe 10 dollars an hour. Rent is over 1,000 to not live in the ghetto. Ghettos are probably 700 or so. I could not even afford my room mate but at the time I was a drug dealer and had a 10 an hour job so that paid bills. I am retired now. Maybe I just sometimes enjoy the laws of my state that is all.
