Thanks for the replies and keep them coming. I tried to edit it quickly to add a "some of the above" mixture option. I know a lot of people have seen multiple people.

I'm currently seeing a psychologist for "severe depression" but we're doing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, essentially defeating negative mental habits that I would associate with AS. We've separated these habits from my mood swings. I have not asked for a diagnosis as she seems to be more interested in dealing specifically with my troubled areas. And that's fine for me.

phycologist at 4-5
psychaiatrist at 7
.....none of those bastards actually diagnosed anthing. :x

21-22 nueropsychiatrist was a dips**t and wouldn't tell me anything
21-22 nueropsychologist diagnosed executive dysfunction
23-24 psychologist diagnosed AS

Now going to team to look a my cognitive dysfunction. I really hope they be able to help me.

CBT is good I used it for my SA. I think if you are an aspie you can be more logical. I noticed I worked faster than my NT friends at getting better.

I've been to dozens of "Freudian von Shrinkendorks" when I was young.
None of them helped.

You left out another option- I was diagnosed with Aspergers by medical doctor. Then re-diagnosed with Aspergers and PTSD by a neurologist. As a teen psychs dx me with anxiety and some kind of social disorder. As small child I was dx with dyslexia by a psych and as infant MD told parents I had a "developmental problem" which I thinking was PDD before there was a name for it.

I really haven't gotten any "treatment" other than suggestions on nutritional supplements and to avoid wheat. The neuro tried to put me on Lamical which I promptly tossed in the cabinet and never took. The side effects listed were terrifying. It seemed to P.O. the neuro that I was not depressed but she wanted to give me drugs anyway.

You spoke of some trend. Are you going to share this with us or do we have to guess? If its super duper secret email me because enquiring minds want to know.
