I am not addicted, in the same way that I am not addicted to air.

Civet, I have the same problem, which Is why I'm taking a long break from here at the minute ( except for this post of course.)

How about setting yourself "allowed times" such as " I will only let myself look at WP from 7.pm to 8.pm, etc. And then read books, watch tv etc to take your mind off it the rest of the time.

I have added this to my opium, hemp, alcohol, Care Bear reruns, and Fox News addictions.

Heck yes! I never managed to get really 'into' forums before, prefering chat by far, but this has me addicted! Sometimes I feel like I'm sort of forcing myself to check simply because I get 25 emails in my inbox telling me which threads have updates, but it's the old 'once you pop you can't stop' thing! I don't know what I would do if it closed down... 8O

I'm addicted to the message board, because that and PM's are my preffered ways of communicating, rather than chat, phone, ect.

The longer I go without checking the boards, the more I fear coming here because I will be here for days on end reading new posts. I dunno about addicted, because I can avoid coming here, but once I'm here I stay here.. for a long while.

I'm not quite as addicted to this board as I was when I first joined, but the number of times I normally check this forum per day is probably still in the double digits.

I come here every day. Sometimes I come here twice a day. When I come to this site, I am usually here for two or more hours at a time. In our house WrongPlanet has become a verb. When I am sitting on my laptop, my mum asks 'Are you WrongPlaneting?' I think it has become an addiction.

Definately not an addiction, but rather an extreme obsession. I love it here and it seems like people here understand me better than anywhere else, with very few exceptions. :D

1. my hands crumple in agony

2. I go blind

3. there are simply no more new posts to go through
