Telling your teacher you have AS

I think it would be an advantage for your teachers to know. If they have a problem with that, then you can take the issue to the campus dean or whatever apprppriate department.

I'm sure most will understand if you can "educate" them about the tic

About three days before I started my computing course, Mother told my tutor that I have AS. I was there when she told her and my tutor asked "What is that?".
Mother explained a little bit about it to her and she just asked if there was anything that she could do to help me. In which then I told her.
My tutor has been helpful towards me, she has tried to be very understanding when I do some of the things that I do. She let me take an assessment a second time, as the first time I took it I had a meltdown during taking it.

I think it was good for Mother to tell her, If she didn't then I probably would have been givin written warnings for things that I can't help.

But it all depends on the tutor, and if they seem approachable. If you don't want to tell them personally, then put it on the application form for when you inroll.
