Correct dictation an aspie doesn't make or show; stickler or not, 'less that's all you talk of, i.e., you go out of your way to point out grammatical and punctuation errors people make without care for their side and feelings (lack of empathy).

"Droning" on and on without a clue that it's not wanted; when it's pointed out it's not wanted to you in a way you understand you...do what your personality will do from then on. Speaking of your "interests" and "obsessions" to the point of a disorder will show your Asperger's; not knowing how to act appropriately around others isn't a trait that's exclusive to those with AS/AD.

My posts have tons of grammer and spelling mistakes. Usually cause I really wanna read what everyone posted on a thread, and cause time is short, I dont worry about making sure my post was perfect.

I type far better then I communicate IRL. I feel much more comfortable typing then talkng on the phone or visiting with someone.

I have to agree with Daniel about how Aspies communicate. I am one of those people who is a stickler for grammar, punctuation, pronunciation, etc. as well, but I take it a step further very often in that I correct people's mistakes regardless of whether it will upset them. In my mind, a rule is a rule and it should be followed exactly. A case in point would be the argument I had with my fiancée over the pronunciation of the word “pewter.” I pronounce it as the dictionary tells me it should be pronounced: pyoo-ter. She pronounces in her regional dialect as: poo-ter. To make a long story short, the height of the argument was when I said, “You sound like an ignorant yokel” Yeah, I probably shouldn’t have done that since she was steamed at me the rest of the day.

Hmm. The only thing I notice is that aspies tend to stay on topic with a thread. A lot of other boards I visit have really confusing threads where an interesting discussion gets interrupted by random chit chat or worse, an off topic flame war. It happens occasionally here (mainly in the politics/religion, games/sports, and art/music forums), but not nearly as much.

As for me, I sometimes feel like my writing is overly logical or choppy. I don't like to be as wordy as most NT people. I suck at grammar and spelling though. Have to put everything through a word processor. I get self conscious around the grammar/spelling nazis.

I definatly (I think I spelt that wrong) am quite pedantic and formal when I write... I write a lot more than I speak...

If I read back through one of my old posts & find a typo, I have to go back & edit it.

Ha, I missed that thread (which is showing my own aspie/autie trait by completely bypassing something I have no interest in; even if said stalked victim posted in it); change it to "yup" for you.

I don't think mine comes out that much here. Sometimes I think it might, like maybe I repeat words but not very often. I think most Aspies have a tendency to be particular about grammar and spelling from what I've seen. Reading the posts here I think most of us come across as NT but to talk in person, for me anyway, the words wouldn't flow as well and I wouldn't express myself as well. I read in an AS book that a lot of Aspies communicate better through writing than talking. I know it's true for me.

Possibly. My sentence construction and grammar fails me though!
I tend to take things literally.
