Yes I DO this but in a different way, its kind of like putting people under microscope I have to know lots and lots of details and facts about them and yes I do carry out internet searches to see if their name crops up. If I found out a method of finding incomes and home addresses no doubt my long beak would use it!

I spend a lot of time analysing why they said something, trying to pigeonhole their character etc If you know me its just accepted that I'm a bit detail orientated well no they call me bloody nosey, if you don't know me I suppose it comes across as strange, obsessive and stalkerlike. I had a terrible crush on a tutor at college an artist I searched the internet trawling sites for any mention of his name, I wanted to know where he was born, what he ate, where he lived, were his parents alive, ex girlfriends, hobbies, holidays. Numbers became a fixation too how many girlfriends, height hahahahaObsession can be a real pain.

sounds like a fun game asparval.

Anyway I have just re-read my post and am concerned by its tone, just to clarify I have never stalked anyone. No I probably would'nt find out soemones income or any other highly confidential details even if the info was to hand. I would not want any one to feel claustrophobic I just like info!

I do it with information too. Once I was bored and I had remembered reading somehwere that the government advises you never share any part of your Soc Sec # and never use it for passwords, etc. At the time my university used the last four digits of your soc in the assigned email addresses which you were required to use when corresponding with professors, or businesses you were contacting for schoolrelated reasons.

So I looked up all about social security numbers and discovered that given the university email addresses, anyone who you were friends with would only need to make 99 guesses to get your social security number. And it wouldn't be that hard for someone you weren't friends with to do just the same. I also discovered how to even further reduce the number of 99 guesses.

The first people I asked to change my email basically responded to me in a "Your crazy. No one would ever be bored enough to do that manner." So it wasn't changed, though from what I understand legally they would have had to change it but I didn't press the issue, or go over their heads. What I did was write a letter to the student newspaper detailing step-by-step how easily our university email addresses could be used to in identity theft operations. They left the step-by-step guide to stealing someone's identity out of my published letter though "Due to information that may be used in criminal activity." Even though that was the reason why I was writing, I hadn't thought about that. I jsut wanted the students to see "wow, someone could steal my social security number and full name in 30 minutes or less given the current email system." The next semester the digits on the end of our uni email began to be randomly assigned.

I have... It was completely harmess though. It started out as a quick google search, in order to see if the person was legit. And, you know how one thing just leads to another...You just get caught up in researching more facts about the person and what they do. It was just out boredom really....

My husband teases me that I am stalking someone when I'm looking up all the information I can on them. I LOVE to research people. I love to research anything and everything! I have absolutely no ill intentions, I just love to snoop LOL I guess that makes me like Mrs Cravitz on Bewitched LOL

Note to Inventor- I want a job like yours!! ! Where would a person look for a job like that? I never heard of such a monster! That would be like a dream job to me.
