When people go into shock keep them awake and talking.

Time for a spider update.

I would agree about the hot bath, made it move outward, and drained.

Real allergy, and convultions and death in under an hour.

You are past that part.

When they put you in the tent, where you hear digging out back, it is bad.

No matter how bad it gets, the worst news is almost all live.

It does take a while, even after it runs the venom out, there is a wound that takes forever to heal.

Seconday infection is common.

I hate them, but Doctors.

Post, for I worry about you.

Ditto that. I'll be watching for your post. I hope everything is ok.

Wound up bumping into the neighbor who is a nurse when heading out the door getting ready to hit up urgent care. She said to give it another day and see if it gets worse. Since she works in the E.R., I can only imagine all of the non-emergency emergencies that she's seen, and I decided to take her word for it. If it gets worse I am to go to urgent care, not the E.R., lol. She made that clear, because there isn't anything they can do for it besides give me some antibiotics anyway, and the wait will be much shorter.

It's blistering up once again, oozing some lovely junk and there is a dark red spot in the middle. The red streak thing has almost entirely disappeared-should I be nervous about that??? lol. Now the nausea has subsided, but I have had a constant headache. I'll let you all know how I'm feeling tomorrow-thank you guys much for all of the information and for keeping me calm, lol. I'm on the verge of paranoia over this thing-I had a pain in my back, left side (I get chronic kidney infections and fake ones-all symptoms there just no bacteria-a lot), and immediately recalled this:

Quote:
The venom also induces in its victim an immune response. The victim’s immune system releases inflammatory agents—histamines, cytokines, and interleukins—that signal specific disease-fighting white blood cells to the area of injury. In severe cases, however, these same inflammatory agents can themselves cause injury. These secondary effects of the venom, although extremely rare, can produce these more significant side effects of the spider bite:

* Destruction of red blood cells

* Low platelet count

* Blood clots in capillaries and loss of ability to form clots where needed

* Acute renal failure (kidney damage)

* Coma

* Death

lol. Of course it isn't that terribly bad, but needless to say, I freaked a little.

lol, finally got a picture of this sucker by maneuvering a way to scan my leg. It's very stingy rather than itchy today. Just thought I would update it and show it, because it's rough getting an idea regardless w/out seeing it. It is about the size of a half dollar now.

I think I am definitely gonna get it checked out today... I just wish I knew for sure what the heck bit me.
