That got me thinking: in today's service-focussed world, soft skills are valued much more highly than in the industrial world of a hundred years ago. And back in the Middle Ages, NT talents were practically useless, because laws and traditions prescribed for everybody how they were allowed to dress, how they should behave towards somebody of a certain standing (always indicated by their style of dress), which rituals to observe when... and also, the world was much less hectic, practically static, you learned a set of skills when you were young and then kept at it for the rest of your life. So perhaps the Planet of the Aspies was a reality back then?
