Well, I have to tell you. Last night, I took a long drive and it was late at night, and I was looking at my life, etc... Some people with a tiny fraction of my knowledge, HECK, some IDIOTS get 2+ times as much as I do in less time! HOW??? SALES! HYPE! That got me to thinking. This is a relatively new phenomenon. Think about it! prior to a couple hundred years ago, sales was far simpler. More work with fewer results, etc... And what happened THEN? People were paid based on skill and work. A number were known for being tempermental or eccentric!

The point is, if a point can actually be seen from such a silly example, that both traits, aspie and NT are necessary, for the survival of a species. Unfortunately for aspies, NT characteristics are dominate because of their efficiency in the world we live in.

That got me thinking: in today's service-focussed world, soft skills are valued much more highly than in the industrial world of a hundred years ago. And back in the Middle Ages, NT talents were practically useless, because laws and traditions prescribed for everybody how they were allowed to dress, how they should behave towards somebody of a certain standing (always indicated by their style of dress), which rituals to observe when... and also, the world was much less hectic, practically static, you learned a set of skills when you were young and then kept at it for the rest of your life. So perhaps the Planet of the Aspies was a reality back then?

Maybe Icheb.

I was thinking today that AS seems more in keeping with nature anyway. Perhaps NT's really did emerge as an offshoot and then became a fairly successful biological trait that swept around the globe.

Maybe the number of Aspies in the world has remained the same, it's just that the NT's breed like rabbits and their numbers swelled to the overpopulating level we're at today.

How would our population level be on a Planet of the Aspies? Would we have less offspring?

Unknown Quantity. I do think we would have less population than we have now. I would need to discuss with aspies the feeling of giving birth for those who had children. Was it a nightmare and did it cause them not to have other children or do they find it extremely taxing to raise children.

I'm fairly positive there would be less of a population.

I haven't met many aspies in reality.

But here's the thing to consider. If it were all just aspies, who would maintain social enviroments such as restaurants or would restaurants be different since nobody felt there would be a necessity to try to seem normal. Would there be restaurants at all?

Do you think that people would feel better because they would be considered normal and accepted?

What would happen if oops, someone accidentally had a NT child. Would the NT child be teased for not playing with toys the same way. Would the NT child be put through special programs so that the aspies would not have to deal with someone they weren't familiar with neurologically?

Sometimes it seems to me that the people who have labelled "strange quirky" people as defects did so because they themselves didn't know how to accept it and move on. I'm not generally rude to people...I do play fight with people I'm comfortable with but not impolite yet these so called normal people are rude to me at times.

I think that the NTs kill off the aspies throughout history and not that this used to be an aspie friendlier world. The world has always belonged to the NT. They don't know that our ability to think out of the box is uncontrollable so they just don't like us for being different and not knowing how to make NTs feel good about themselves which seems to be a factor in all forms of bullying that the bullies don't like the bullied aspie or nonaspie because of issues inside the bullies themselves. I think aspies are more prone to excite strong feelings in NT because we don't cloak ourselves the way NTs do.
