For awhile, I had an obsession with Tangle Toys. I've got a large bowl full of them on my desk at work. I couldn't stop buying them and people at my office started to tell me I had a problem.

My obsession is some guy I work with. I've worked with him for a couple years and I think he's an Aspie, I just don't think he knows it. Because of this though, he seems to be afraid of me. At one point everyone thought I had this weird crush on him, like, I just had to have him. It's not that, I've just always felt connected to him and tried to get to know him and just ended up pushing him away. It's embarrassing because I can only imagine what he thinks of me so I try to avoid him now. Then there's the other people at work and wondering what they think about it all. I have to play if off like I don't care but I try to see him every chance I get without anyone, including him, seeing me. It's weird.
I've also got a slight obsession with this guy I work with, although it's nowhere near as bad as what you're talking about. I have no interest in him romantically at all; in fact, I've only ever said five words to the guy. It's just that he's so obviously an Aspie. It's not that I think about him that much, but when I see him, I catch myself observing like he's a lab rat in my experiment. Wouldn't mind being friends with the guy but he seems so shy I think I'd freak him out if I tried to talk to him.
