It upsets me when I think like this because I really don't want to and I feel so guilty afterwards. Does anyone know where I'm coming from?

Sinsboldly suggested that I might have Tourettes Syndrome but I don't, to my knowledge, have motor tics although I do stim.
I do, just about, manage to keep the obsceneties inside my head whilst other people are present.
I would really appreciate your thoughts please, thanks.

Hey,
Let me tell ya that only maybe a small percentage of the tourette community actually curse, usually most of the time its one particular curse over and over and over again. If its not said, then the person becomes very agitated and in pain due to not allowing the tic out. I have bad motor tics that affect my walking at times. If you have bad curse words going through your head, when its happening is it due to anxiety, anger, and what happens if you hold it in? Your motor tics are they due to anxiety, anger and same thing what happens if you hold it in? I have to tic sometimes, and if i dont it hurts. I've had bad coughing tics, facial tics i have a lot which sucks haha.

I like your message. Your message look great with that photo of your.

However, I am confused what is vocal and motor tics? What does tics mean?

Vocal tic, like echolila, or with me its loud screechs out of no where lol, or words over and over and over again, like coffee ugh that word haunts me lol, motor tics are when your body almost jerks, like my arm sometimes raises without my conscent lol, or i shrug my shoulders a lot, or swing my head real fast side to side, um or my leg kinda does this thump motion lol, or my whole body like jerks like im coming out of a siezure... stuff like that. Tic is something you cant always control, and if u dont tic, it like hurts, its like um somebody pushes a button in ur brain and u just do it, sometimes without even realizing... A stim is something u do to comfort yourself, which is what i do after i tic lol. Hope this helped alittle!

If that the case, I might get a tic but a rare occasion. I just simply shake for no reason like a energy surge. This energy surge is like getting a neck or back massage then it go away the same second that enter.

Might, you dont have to have tourettes to have tics every now and then, some studies show, a lot of people with aspergers suffer from tics as well.

Yes. I wouldn't count myself having Tourettes but I might stim alot maybe.

The thing is that I chew myself in the mouth when I do that. I don't usually like talking about it but it is true that I bite myself in the mouth not to mention blood tasting.

I doing that when I am anxious like hurry the movie, speech, or time up!

I'm autistic and, while I was never diagnosed with Tourette's (a lot of autistic people aren't, even if we have it), I developed motor and vocal tics when I was about... somewhere between five and seven, I don't know the exact age. My father had motor tics that faded with age (but still exist), and one of his uncles had very obvious Tourette's (the kind that a layperson could recognize today without even thinking about it) but everyone thought he was just a little crazy or something. So I know what side of the family I got it from.

In my opinion 59% is way too high. So far I know one out of 6 ppl with Tourettes also have a form of ASD.
The most common comorbidity in Tourettes are: OCD and ADHD. The average number of psychiatric comobidities a person with Tourettes has is 2,5, with Tics it's 1,5. Tourettes has a high number of comorbidities, but there also exists "Tourettes only", but most ppl with Tourettes will have comorbidities.

30% of ppl with ASD have tics, but just 6% Tourettes. So there is an overlapping, but the overlapping between OCD and Tourettes or between ADHD and Tourettes is much bigger.

My grandma has OCD/OPD and my brother has ADHD. I have non of those, but I have a mild tic disorder/Tourettes. So I believe it has genetic reasons, because OCD and ADHD are also highly overlapping with ASD, so it's kind of logic that there must be also a certain overlap between ASD and Tourettes also.

I have facial motor tics with my eyes and nose but I try to make sure I am not seen doing it so will, for example, get it out my system when I am somewhere at work where I cannot be seen. One of the many reasons I like to wear sunglasses is that I can feel less self-concious about people seeing my eye tics. I dont think I really have any vocal tics any longer so I suppose I would not meet the criteria these days but when I was younger I would make a sort of contained swallowing noise like a hamster in my throat so, at that time I suppose I did meet the criteria.

The interesting thing is that, although I was keen for people not to see me doing these things, I never once recognised them as tics in the tourettes sense. If i thought about it at all I would just lump them in with the 'being weird' that I wanted people not to see.
