I can't think of many distinct ancedotes....other than wetting myself in the grocery store while wering my full Girl Scout uniform..(i was the only one in my troop who never missed a meeting and always wore my complete uniform.

I sometimes wore my tap shoes to school, but I am not sure why...and would occasionally bring books with me because in every image I had seen of children going to school, they always had books...I carried a children's dictionary and an encylopedia to first grade.

um...lets see...I don't feel like sharing my lice stories...i did have them...

that's all I can think of...

I used to be deathly afraid of mosquitoes. When I was 13, I saw a very large mosquito(l;egs wre approxamately 1.5 inches long) flying in my room and I quickly ran out into the kitchen and picked up a spray bottle of some window cleaning solution. My grandma was yelling at me and I quickly ran into my room, trying to find the bug so I could spray it, get its wings wet, so it would sink to the floor and I could smash it. She comes into my room yelling at me and I'm trying to explain to her that if I get its wings wet it won't be able to fly.

It worked, but the old lady kept yelling at me all night about it saying I should have used a fly swatter(which wouldn't have worked. The bug was too fast).

In elementary school I sat in the sandbox at recess and discovered these white chaulky rocks nearby. When I rubbed the rock on my white canvas slip-ons, it cleaned the dirt off. I set up shop as a shoe-washer for all the other kids on the playground. They came to me, I rubbed rocks on their shoes. They said thank you, and I wished each customer a nice day. This was more fun for me than running around playing 'boys chase girls' or whatever.

Probably. I was very ignorant back then.

And still am in many respects, from what I gather.

Heh, this one made me smile for some reason.

When I was in junior high, after years of being forced to play sports and run around with everyone (which I suck at), we went to Celebration Station, which had go-kart racing and an arcade. I spent that entire day completely stomping everyone in my class at every competitive game they had except the batting cages. That was one of the best school days of my life.

/won 22 games in a row at Street Fighter 2, lol

In what ways are you ignorant? I'm curious...

edit: mosquitoes are inherently evil...

Another one I remember when I was 13. First day of the 7th grade math class, and the teacher asked the students what various mathematical symbols were. She pointed to a 'perpendicular' symbol placed just above a 'parallel' symbol, and I raised my hand and answered 'fraction'. The whole class started laughing, but I had thought she was pointing to the fraction '1 over 11'. I knew what both symbols stood for, but just didn't see it.

For starters, I still don't know what kinds of mosquitoes eat other mosquitoes.

I'm no mosquito expert, but I can tell you that mosquitoes do not eat other mosquitoes.

Sure, do what you want.

When I was very young, a man at my fathers workplace tried to amuse me by throwing a fly into a bugzapper. I started to cry and looked up at him with a horribly accusing scowl and said, "you're a very bad man!"

Poor guy probably thought I'd find it great fun. It's not his fault that I've always felt such empathy towards every animal since before I can remember.

I will share a funny story about my son.

In 8th grade they showed THE movie. You know, the puberty movie. After the movie, the teacher had to discuss abstinence with the children and how they would adhere to it. She asked the students how they would tell a person of the opposite sex no without hurting their feelings. She then turned and pointed to my son.

He said: "I'm a geek and I have frogs for pets, I don't think that's a question!"

That night I got a phone call....your son has an extremely interesting sense of humour!

This is really cruel but between the ages of 3-6 years old I used to in pre-school and infant school I used to run around the playground outside school and collide with my peers they would go on the floor the other child (my peer) would be crying on the floor in pain I would laying on the floor looking at them bemused thinking why are they crying this is fun. Later they would inside for first aid and I would be watching them and wondering why they have gone inside yes it is because they have a cut knee and need a plaster my knee or any part of the body was never cut but it did help as no one in my class bullied at all. I was well respected in my class.

As a child (4-5 years old) I was SURE that goose eggs are covered with extremely poisonous poison so every time I happened to touch an egg I was wiping my hands on my trousers ( I was too lazy to look for some water - we're living in a village then and the water was only from a well) even 100 times - I was counting. The same superstition (but in much less degree) concerned also hen's eggs. It had its origin in a fact that once I heard something about salmonella and my mind transformed in its own way.

When I lived in NJ I was playing with my dump truck in front of the neghboors house. I always insisted on placing my little gas station toy on her steps. She did not like the kids playing on her proporty and I always was the only kid to completly ignore her and play their anyways. One day I was playing with my truck and she came outside and suggested that I go play with my truck and gas station at my own house. My reply: "But the gas is better over here!" HEH.

My parents had a 4th of july party in our backyard in 1987. I never played with the other kids on the swing set, i instead always wanted to chill with the adults. Their was a video camera present and I walked up to the person holding the camera and wanted to touch the microphone on it and wanted to know about it and all. After that I went over to another person who was drinking a beer, I told him I wanted that, he must have thought that I wanted a beer, unfortunatly for me at the time I was 4, just a few years under the legal age, but what i really wanted was the insulator that contained the beer can.

I have a million others, but thatll do for now...
