I'm not sure. I think I like the idea of them only. I really enjoy adding a holiday tinge to my books when I write because I love using descriptive, festive terms and knowing that the character's holiday will turn out however I choose.
In reality, I have a very specific idea of what holidays should look like and they NEVER turn out that way. I think that's why they suck so bad.
