All beings have a scent - that's a good thing!

Sinsboldly: Arsenic has a distinctive cloying scent of almonds, but sweet sugary almonds. You mentioned almonds, but bitter, of schizophrenia.

hartzofspace: I am unsure of the metallic scent - that is epilepsy, perhaps?

Bitter almonds is cyanide.

I think our smell is mostly determined by how long it's been since we've taken a shower.

I smell of what i ate that day or the day beforehand. Also, whenever i wear jewelry, i absorb the metals and perspire them.

Haven't read everything, but I'm told that I smell like vanilla, too.

Vanilla extract comes from orchids. Orchids have a lot of medicinal properties to them. I was just wondering if maybe you were unconsciously hungry for what would sustain you normally. Just a thought.

Still, richard spoke earlier about cleansiness. Maybe he doesn't know what his real scent is.

As for me, naturally, I think I have like 2 scents. Neither is bad, but I don't think either smells like vanilla. I haven't had any complaints.

So you forget? I always wondered if people with eidetic or near eidetic memories, forget.

a good friend of mine has epilepsy and once I held her during one of her convulsions and it was like an electric shock running through me! It startled me so much I had to lay her down gently while someone else worked with her.

A guy I used to have a crush on smelled like sunscreen all the time. It was quite nice.

As for me... I still smell like pizza from work. Remind me to re-smell after I shower. Nobody has ever told me I smell like anything in particular, though.

Yes, I thought it was the epilepsy that I smelled.

That's interesting. I came close to having a convulsion once. It was a reaction to the local anesthetic being used by a dentist. It felt very much like an electrical current, very unpleasant. Later I learned that this was a negative side effect of Lidocaine.

Dogs (and cats, too) can alert to different medical conditions, such as seizures. I saw a story about a cat who alerted her owner to a cancer she had. That cat saved her life.

When I was taking antibiotics for an ear infection last year, my poop smelled of the antibiotics. (Sorry to be gross, but it was true.)

oh, my gawd, it was lidocaine! that makes so much sense! She had been dropped off to the house coming in from a late date, actually it was early in the morning, in Berkeley, CA in 1972! it was cocaine city and cutting coke with lidocaine was very very possible! She used and I can see it all now! Poor girl! what a rough lives we have had. Thank you, I would never have known.
