I am not even sure what depressed me anymore. I can hear horrible stories, immerse myself in reading about personal accounts of genocide, and other brutalities. Yet, I've never cried or felt sad about it. I just say to myself "This is the world we live in" and move on.
I remember crying this or last year and even then I was confused as to why I was crying. I wasn't sad or depressed--let alone the fact that I don't cry. I guess it was a way of my body showing me what and how others feel. Somehow it had a positive effect on me.
