I double checked and my vitamin (One a Day Essential) doesn't list Magnesium in the part that shows percentages of nutrients, but it does list something like "Magnesium Sul...something" in the ingredients list, so I don't know if that means it does have some magnesium your body can use or not.

I have actually noticed I've felt better this past two weeks since I started taking it again, although I also had these "mini melt downs" in the past week too.

When I posted that last thing I had started that and then got distracted at work for a few hours, so I didn't have a chance to respond to your post poopylungstuffing. I think I can have stuff that just triggers it too, like I did for the second one this week with the cell phone bill. I was still not handling/processing what had happened on Monday right yet.

Several of you have mentioned knowing it's coming, and removing yourself from the situation. How do you know it's coming? What are the signs? So far it just kind of comes on me, it's all overwhelming and out of control before I know it, and I'm in the middle of it and then hate it in retrospect when I see how I was.

If I could figure out what the signs are, and figure out where/what to do when they come on, that would be great. Now THAT would be helpful to talk about to that psychologist who decided that I can't have Asperger's because of the Wisconsin Card Sorting test and that I'm depressed because I don't enjoy doing anything (even though I *DO* enjoy my interests to pieces!)

I might try that. I know that food is important. If I'm hungry, I'm not a pleasant person to be around.

The person trained as a consoler* who first told me about AS and that he thought I have it said that it's important for people with AS to eat regularly-well he didn't say that exactly-but something to the effect of not doing well without food. I'm sure that way too.

*He also has a relative with it, and another relative who's a psychologist or psychiatrist (I forget which) in another state who has some knowledge about it.

According to my doctor, whom I trust, recommends Magnesium Glycinate. She says it's the best absorbed. I take 400-600 mg/day, and I seem to have more energy.

Here's one place you can buy it:

Episodes like that happen to me maybe once or twice a year during periods of extreme stress. I think it's an anxiety reaction. When it happens to me I pace around a lot and can't stay still. Sometimes I scream or throw something. When I was a kid it was much worse and more frequent. I find that I can now sometimes catch it in the early stages before losing control and talk myself down from it

I just started bawling after I couldn't figure out the solution to a math problem. I was literally shaking for 40 minutes, just trying to calm down. Luckily I have extended time, and my resource teacher let me chill out and relax before we started it again (She was trying to help me figure out where I was basically since I lose so much focus when I freak out).
It's pretty common for most people with Aspergers to have some sort of anixety, at least in my experiences. I definitely have an anixety disorder with my depression and Autism, but I have to just deal with it.

I do the same and today was charged with disturbing the peace because I started yelling about the electric company and saying they were thieves when they came to reconnect our
electricity which was disconnected because they estimate it every single month to the tune
of 586usd, when we have no central air or heat. It is well known to the public and authorites
that the company lies and steals from people they think are well off, but the autorities where we live do nothing.

So, I suggest if you are still young to try and get help before
some NT that can't see the injustices committed everyday
charge you, as they have me.

I have no idea how this will turn out. I have a son with
autism, I have a steady job for over 18'years and these people
pushing me to he edge now have my life in their hands.
Yes, God forbid they go after the real crminals.
I do not live in the US. Otherwise, this would not
have gotten this far. No stealing on their side, no
complaining on my side.

This is NOT flattering to me, and I don't do it all the time-usually I hardly ever do it, but I've done it twice in the last week.

Tonight my mom and I got cell phone bills that were clearly bogus (calls supposedly placed from another state, etc.) the guy with the cell phone company claims you can roam on towers in another state, etc.

Doesn't matter, point is I know I'm being lied to and I just freaked out. I'm having adrenaline go through me, I'm loudly going "THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE" to the guy my mom is talking to, and I start pacing around and start shaking my hands...she's been off the phone for an hour now, but I'm still shook up about it, now mostly because I think I'm a freak because I reacted so badly/weirdly.

Earlier this week after I got home from a psychologist appointment that went nowhere, I eventually got so freaked out I was pacing all over the place and ended up swiping stuff off of a ledge and screaming for an explanation about what happened, etc. I'm embarrassed about my reaction, and I feel like I must be just a total freak.

I don't know, just wondering what on Earth is wrong with me that I sometimes react like that. I mean it is rare, but it happens.
sounds to me that you got an expensive bill and just overly stressed out over it. And you were all pissed off so you didnt know how to decently get it resolved due to you getting so overwhelmed. Thats understandable.

You should talk to your doctor about Lorazepam. Reduces the electrical buildup in your head so it reduces the ability of you Snapping, or becoming Overwhelmed to an unstable state of mind.

I hope this somehow works out for you whatamess :( I hope I can get help. I've needed it for decades, and I was holding out hope for this psychologist, I think that's one of the reasons I freaked out after this went nowhere.

When I read the phone description, my BS meter pegged into the red. No, your cell phone can't tap into other states unless you're dialing them. What I'd me more concerned about would be identity theft; someone has their account information, and is using it to make their own calls. Might mention it to them...just in case. Blame me if you get in trouble, I can take it...;)

Yeah, that would make sense, except the calls looked like ones I made, they were just showing that I made them in another state.

I've actually talked to two people who work for the company on another forum, and they both say this is bogus too, that what this guy claimed can't happen. I may be switching carriers next month if this happens again (at least if they refuse to fix our bills next time).

I also experience mini meltdowns. I've had one, this afternoon. I've found out that my two best friends called, when I was out and I've boiled over. I was phoning all the different places that my threesome likes to hang out with. It turned out that I've dialed my sister's number at one point, and I thought that she was a receptionist, who was working at Boston Pizza, who couldn't understand me. I swore at her and hung up.
