It would be boring.

Too much of anything is boring...and that includes a world full of people on the spectrum. Variety is what makes the world work and progress.

Yes, as Aspies we do have a lot to offer. But so does everyone else. It's silly, pointless, and a waste of life, this comparing Aspies to NTs. Aspies, we should not get too high on ourselves for that will be our undoing.

I was actually thinking if the world had ONLY people on the spectrum and no NT's...but if ASD's were the majority and there were still people here NOT on the spectrum, then it wouldn't be boring but probably A LOT different.

I don't think it'd be better or worse, sociologically, because I think most of the reason that autistic people are not behind more problems in the world is because there aren't a whole lot of us.

We are not inherently of any higher moral character than any other group of people.

I have seen many sorts of people assume that if they were running the world, everything would be better. I have seen no evidence of this actually being the case for any sort of person.

Exactly, AS and Autism are just towards one end of a normal distribution curve – an increase in the number of AS people would merely change the centre (mean) of the curve; it is all relative from one's frame of reference.

Could Aspies be successfully trained as astronauts? Even if this were attempted, you assume a 100% success rate. Which is absurd.

I disagree. I have never seen so much variety as on this site. The very definition of Aspies is a bunch of people each of which is different from the others. (That's what "syndrome" means, after all.)
