Yeah, I've always felt that way. Not sure when I should have been born, though.

I have always felt I was out of sync with the modern world, like I belonged 500 years in the past

I always felt like i should have been born later. I associate with people younger than me, I always feel like I catch on to things my peers were into about 5 years later, etc.

I wouldn't live in any time except the one I currently live in, but many of my interests are those of somebody much older than myself. I am fascinated with Roger Bannister, who broke the four minute mile in 1954.

I'm pretty sure that I was born in the wrong time. I'm sure I should have been a teenaer or young adult in the 20s, 30s, or 40s. Those are the only shoes that fit me too!

I feel as if I've been born to old for my skin.

I can see all my friends who do drugs and i know what will happen to them I enjoy 90's,60's, and 70's music more then anything,
And I feel that if i could go to university right now, i could do so much more for people.I want to be a meteorologist, i want to be an artist, i want to help other autistics, i want to help animals.I want to matter. But i can;'t because I'm to young.

Before I found out about asperger's I sometimes semi-seriously considered the idea that I was destined to have been killed in Viet Nam, that was my generation's war.

Since that didn't happen, there wasn't any life destiny available for me, so I was a person without a destiny who wasn't supposed to be around.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

Nice to know I am not the only one who feels this way :D

I feel I was born 500 years too late on the wrong continent, I think I would have fit in best in the Italian Renaissance.
