Issues with my mom that decreased after the diagnosis of autism, which is good for me.

Not really. I got tired of their B.S. at a pretty young age. They say that as you grow up you're parents get more and more right........well no. They're still wrong.

I give my parents respect, because they brought me into this world, and they chose life.

I respected my parents as much as I possibly could. My dad didn't think I was respectful, but my dad had some odd notions of respect. If I wasn't always smiling and happy I wasn't being respectful. Of course he'd often do stupid things I just couldn't respect him for. Like spank me because my opinion was different than his and I wasn't willing to just give my opinion up. He couldn't respect that I had my own opinion, and I can't respect that. Also he'd say stupid things like "Kids are to be seen, not heard.", "I had you to do the chores for me.", and "Do as I say, not as I do."

no, i was the problem child...not that i rebelled but i always had tantrums. fought a lot with my sisters, i even shout at them a lot.
nowadays i just get along with my mom...my dad i don't, i just get out of his way so i wouldn't have to deal with him.

Of course I treat my parents respectfully. I may not agree with all of their parenting methods, but I believe they had good intentions. We're all imperfect. We all have our problems. My parents have done a lot of nice things for me, and they continue to do so. I'm very grateful for this.

When I post about unpleasant experiences with my parents, it's because I don't talk about these things IRL. I don't want to say anything negative about my parents to anyone who knows them or might meet them in the future - it would be disrespectful.

I used to be always respectful with them, in the past as child and now. I have been always very caring and how could I behaved wiht the persons that gave me birth, food and bed ? Maybe my aspiesnes made me a little dependant emotionally on them, and my aspie idealism made me saw them like my my King and Queen, although they were far from being that perfect, sincerely. But I always was very grateful with the people who were more close to me, and I often forgave their errors that had witht me or the possible emotional harm they could infringe in me wiht their acts or behaviours, for me, no matter what, they were precious, being grateful for what they gave me and trying not see the the most negative aspect they had. I always thought this is the right way to behave, not matter what. Being a good daughter/son is priority for me, although they could be not the best parents(realistic appreciattion) of the world they are always for me. Is in my hand to see it this way, and not look at their probably lack of parenthood manners or sensivity.

I show them the respect that they deserve.
