yeah, except that when a person is "zoning out" it is a very. very minor form of a seizure. I have a physic teacher tell us that. so....


It *could* be, but not necessarily. The type of seizure you are referring to is "petit mal," and is characterized by staring, maybe some repetitive motor mannerisms like lip-smacking or rapid blinking, and lack of consciousness. So there is a difference between just zoning out into your own thoughts, and actually losing consciousness for a brief period of time.


I had petit mal epilepsy as a child and eventually grew out of it. To me, I would be in class and an hour would go by without me knowing. I couldn't tell you what happened during those times.
