I was born blind due to Leber's congenital amerosis, a condition that causes the retina not to develop the way it should. It's proving difficult to get a DX, because most doctors are just as ignorant as the average person. These types think they can explain every problem I have. Lets see... I don't like crowds because I'm blind. Noise can overwhelm me and send me into shutdown mode because I have super-human hearing and am blind. I don't socialize as much because I'm blind. I don't always like unfamiliar places and being touched because I'm blind. OMG They just assume I can't spend one waking moment without thinking about how blind I am. I mentioned this in another thread. My older brother has the same eye condition and was diagnosed with AS because he's lower functioning. It must've been more obvious to these near-sighted freaks. Sorry for the rant.

I am visually impaired and even with my glasses not able to see well (50% of the average capability). I can't really explain my medical issue in English. It's not my native language after all, but what I know and can tell is that it at least isn't getting worse.

I have appalling eyesight. I am only partially sighted in one eye, so if I lost the other I would not be able to read, no matter how strong my glasses were.
