I just made a list of my AS characteristics in a spiral bound notebook. Each is just a short note of a few words. It took up two pages front and back. If you want, I can list them here....
Dx is important to me because I think one of my children may have AS. It would be helpful and relevant for me to be able to tell his pediatrician that I have it, and so get him into early intervention.

LOL at pretty pirates.
All kidding aside, you have a really important point. I think it's worthwhile you're pursuing this and you mentioned you have children. But, might you consider switching therapists? A good therapist/psychologist/diagnostician is vital, especially for your children. The one you have seems inept. May be a good investment to find one who is reputable. I do know what you mean about certain select therapists harboring a bias against physical attractiveness - it's just not fair. Our neuropathy, behaviors, history, etc is what counts!
I'm sure you can find better.....worth the effort. I didn't realize you had children. You could submit your compiled list to a (competent) therapist and this would really help them understand better. I am not a parent. But some parents from WP have related that videotaping their children in action, like at a 'normal' home or school setting, can be very enlightening to an otherwise clueless psychologist trying to make an assessment. Good idea!
