Does a "cure" for Asperger's seem scary to you?

When people ask for a cure, they are mostly thinking about those who are on the lower end of the spectrum. Their own children whom they worry about and if will be able to live independantly.

When people think "autism" they don't think aspie.

I'd join you, bring it on. If I was told that the cure would shorten my life by ten years I'd still take it.

Maybe my opinion is based on 43 years of not knowing what the f**k was wrong with me. Maybe I would think differently if I had been DX'd as a kid

It doesn't seem scary to me at all. Matter of fact it seems like a very positive thing.

If I were granted one wish, I'd say 'screw it' to wealth and fame.

There would be only one answer : Cure me of my Aspidity.

An easy life for me.

Being Aspinoidal simply means LOADS of work for jack sh*t return.
Don't see how that can be such a great thing.

I get fed up with all the effort, difficulty and loss of Aspidity.
It constrains me, prevents me from blossoming.
It's such a waste of talent and life - makes me less able to contribute to and engage with the world.

It's the only thing I really wish for in life.
