How many of you are obsessed with violent things or sports?

I too get fascinated with serial killer, violent video games, even tragic events like 9/11, until it becomes personal. I am more sensitive now to the idea of losing a loved one than ever before. Hearing about tragedies on a personal level bothers me more than I ever thought possible (kind of strange against the idea of becoming de-sensitized), But give me Grand Theft Auto or Fable II and I can be an utter sadist. Somehow I'm equally thrilled and terrified of violence.
I was a kid during WW2. My major fantasy was to be a bombardier aboard a B-17 or B-29 and drop 500 and 1000 lb h.e. bombs on the axis. When WW2 ended in September of 1945 I wept, because I knew I would never realize my dream. I wanted to be Hitler's worst nightmare, a Jew with a Norden bomb sight. I reclaimed some of my fantasy by working on weapons of mass destruction (in real life) and designing guidance and terrain data storage systems for cruise missiles (this was in the pre-GPS days). Some of my "babies" have actually killed enemies of the United States, so I got to be someone's nightmare after all. I am now too old to craft weapons that will destroy the Jihadi enemies. That is for someone else.

I'm the opposite of violent, excessive violence really bothers me. I've never sat through a slasher movie, (like Saw) I'd rather listen to classical than heavy metal and I'd rather play baseball than a combat sport.
However, I do love to read about WWI and WWII, but it's more my love of Europe during that time period than the violence. Ever since watching Flyboys, I have loved WWI combat planes and definitely would have enlisted in one of the Air Forces if I lived back then.
I play a lot of video games, mainly racing games but I also like some WWII games (Call Of Duty 5 for 360, WWII Aces for Wii) and also RTS games. I wish someone would make a WWI aerial combat fighter for Xbox 360 or Wii.
