Where is the "neither" option?

For that matter, where's the "I don't care / Just show me the results" option?

I was trying not to be too mean. :P

Who's being mean? I include it in all of my polls, except the one where I'm running for emperor, and that one is a joke!

You for not caring about her poll. Most people like to feel special, did you not know :P

Indifference is not meanness. Nor is it against the rules! Besides, I cared enough to post on the first page, so why complain?

this is an interesting question. when i forget i have anything wrong with me i tend to push harder for things i.e., 'i should have x,x, and y by now'. when i put it into the context of having AS i realise how far i've come and how worse things could be - this stops me from pushing and hence progressing.

I guess I'll be a nerd and dabble in semantics. Let me point out that:
giving IN to ASD's is not the same thing as giving UP.

Sure, I give in to Asperger's.
I also give in to my height, parents, and past... Three things I may not be joyful about, but cannot change even if I wanted to.
I give in to Asperger's in the sense that I accept it, understand it, and work with it.
I haven't given up on a thing.

I don't think I understand the question. For me, accepting my AS doesn't equal giving up. It makes me do less criticizing of myself for not being able to live like an NT, but I don't consider that giving up; I'm happier not living like an NT. So if that's what you mean by giving in to AS, then yes, I do that. But that doesn't mean I don't try; it just means I don't try to be an NT.

In my world there is no giving up, there is coping with aspiration to better myself...

People are 'owned' by their characteristics all the time. It's a state every person on this planet faces.

Owners use the things they own. I refuse to be owned by a set of behavioral characteristics, so I own my Aspieness instead, and use it to my advantage.

Or would you rather be a slave to a label?

I think it's more a matter of going with the flow than fighting it. You can get where you want to go faster when you don't fight the currents, but instead use them to get you closer to your goals as much as possible.

Of course, you may have to fight to get what you want from the outside world. That's different from fighting with yourself.
