Well just to even it up! I am on the spectrum, have 5 children all diagnosed also, parents are both spectrum too and now I am going to be a grandmother! Aaaaghhhh............ yea you guessed it my daughter (ADHD) has met an Aspie!! Eeeek, so it looks as though there is another one on the way!
And ya know what some of us are not as high functioning .............I hate that term by the way.....as others and ya know something else............I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD!! Love NT's but love being who I am too!
BTW, ruveyn, I am presuming you are on the spectrum too? You didn't say or I am having a senior moment!!

I have never met all NTs. My three children are all NT.
It is the NTs in job environments I have trouble with. If any do not like you, then you can kiss your job goodbye. 
No general view here, as far as I know.

I ask because I have seen some posts made by people who think that NTs are boring or inferior. Of course I realise that not all think this way because many of you are in relationships with NTs.
I'm not sure if I'm NT or not - I certainly don't have a normal mind. I also have Synaesthesia. I'm good friends with PhilosopherBoi via AIM and he has told me to get "checked" for Autism so I don't know...

some users have that elitist thing going on,but they do not represent the community,unfortunately some other sites think everyone on wp is like that or have all the same views on things.
it doesn't matter whether are aut. spectrum,have some other similar condition or are NT-if can look at things on here and relate to them,or have family/friends/whoever that relate to posts on here,then keep using it,elitism is crap.
NTs are just as worthy as anyone else,and shouldnt be seen as a seperate species just because of the different neurotypes.

It's Alex (the site's owner) who gets to choose who is and who is not welcome, and his requirements for being welcome are simply that you abide by the TOS.
There is no consensus about NTs, (including who this term refers to) around here, and at any rate, WP is not a democracy; it's a privately owned possession. Alex's possession to be precise, and so far as I can tell, Alex welcomes your input.

I am an Old Aspie, very high in the spectrum. I consider being an Aspie a gift, rather than a problem. I got with computers back in 1955 when I was 19 years old. I went out into applied math and came back into computers in 1960 and worked there for another 42 years. I was an Aspie long before the condition became generally known to the public. When I was a kid, people just thought I was weird and they didn't have a label for it except nutsy fagin.

Xanderbeanz you are sooo naughty!! I do love a lot of NT's though, I would reverse your stats and say I love 80% of them and the remaining 20% can do one! But then Mmmmm what would my stats be on those on the spectrum?? Not sure it would be as high as 80% NT's sheep? Mmm makes some of us on the spectrum sound like some stray ferrel cats with very sharp claws!
ruveyn love that you love being an Aspie, what a world we would live in without you wonderful folk, we have you to thank for creating these systems that we have now come to rely on, such as the internet. And yes, you sound text book! Maths, science and computers are such a tell tale sign aren't they There are times that I could quite happily swap brains with a NT (get myself into such scrapes sometimes!). I am an elderly AddHer, us seniors could teach these younger ones a thing or two eh!
