I'm not assuming that they have "all the answers", or are inherently "right", but I am open to the possibility that they may know something that I have overlooked, or be at least a little more on the cutting edge of autism research than I am.
I've been to psychiatrists before and they didn't say a thing about autism or asperger's.
I'd like to see if I can find someone who specializes in the autism spectrum, and have an informed discussion about what exactly is going on with me. This is presuming a lot, but I figure I'll go at it with an hopeful attitude. Every little bit of information, taken with plenty of grains of salt, will help.
