Found the entry for Aspergers after first hearing about it 10 years ago through some stuff i'd read about involuntary celibacy. it was said that many of them were like that due to Aspergers and having difficulty navigating the non-verbal communication of the courtship process.

I was reading about autism on the internet, and saw a link to this site. I decided that I needed to join WP so I didn't feel alone. I'm glad that I did, because everyone here is so nice, polite, intelligent, and helpful. Thank you Wrong Planet. Thank you Alex.

I wasn't searching for information on autism or AS. I believe the first time I ever heard of AS was from this site. I've always had the stereotypical AS problems interacting socially, but I didn't understand that being social was considered important, and didn't think about searching for other people with such problems because I rarely think about connecting with other people.

I was using Google search to see if anyone else had the same sensory issues I do, because any time I had expressed such an issue other people had been dismissive. I wanted to know if anyone else anywhere had any of the same sensory issues. One of the top results for a search was this site, and in the summary there was the phrase "our obsessions". I've had very persistent, very strong obsessions(especially one), so I clicked on the result, and this forum had so many pages of people telling stories that were similar to stories I could tell, or explaining things in the way I might explain things.

I learned about WP through a therapist whom, I once sought treatment from and since joining WP have found it to be intensely interesting and stress-free than most other internet forums as such.. I'll admit that being here for 2yrs now one would think I'd have tons of private messages,emails,IM chats all over the place but, this is not the case, still this does not deter me whatsoever as, I realise many fellow Aspies need a great amount of time and understanding wherein; dealing & interacting with other people in the spectrum..Well, I hope you and everyone else here finds WP to be a very useful place on the net indeed??
