do you have a flat expression or are you over expressive?

Flat. I am also like a statue. When i use face expressions then i get them kinda funny. When i was a small kid then i used to make a silly face on every picture. Funny to watch these days.

Mainly flat, although sometimes the tell-tale Aspie "Stare" comes into play and then people think I'm stoned. The worst though is when I'm just walking down the street lost in my thoughts and some absurdly upbeat person yells "SMILE!" at me. Oh how I hate that.

I tend to have a deadpan expression even when I am in a happy mood, people who don't know my sense of humour think I am being snarky, now
my boyfriend, who is also an aspie always looks mad, when he isn't, he is just very intense, but he is also somewhat more expressive and not at
all deadpan.

I definitely tend more towards having a flat expression.

mostly flat. sometimes it very expressive, apparently sometimes it even expresses the opposite to what im feeling! I.E frowning when im actually having fun

I'm wood-face-man most of the time but I can spice it up with a Smiling Bob esque smile.

Makes people flip out but I revel in their horror.

Depends on the situation.
Normally I have a blank expression, because I have nothing to get excited over. But if something comes along that brings up my interest, I get very expressive & people around me give me strange looks and/or ask me "what's with the face?"
I get extremely embarrassed when that happens, so I try my best not to get emotional.

I think at least for a while, I had a face that looked angry or upset when I was relaxed. I would always get told that anyway, or asked "whats wrong?" But its hard to change the way your face looks when its relaxed, ie no expression. I don't get told that any more, I don't know maybe that look has "softened" as I aged?

My actual expressions are sometimes wrong too, like looking angry if I'm nervous, or happy if I'm sad for example.

Before meds I got those comments constantly and now I don't. I'm not consciously doing anything differently, I guess my face is a little more animated now. I still think I walk around with a Herman Munster expression on my face so it must have really been a sight to see before.

Both. Mostly I do have a flat expression... people will tell me that I look either depressed, annoyed or mean. I get confused... "what... I'm just sitting here... I was not annoyed but if you keep asking me what is wrong I will be annoyed..." I cannot count how many times I have said that. Then I have times where I am ridiculously over animated... usually when I am excited about something or going on about something that interests me. Someone mentioned looking like a living cartoon... I have been told that as well.

the psychologists and student psychologists that were involved in a research program that i was also involved in (as a subject), described me as having a "poverty of emotions".

i think they are probably correct as i do not often feel like smiling and i do not often feel like frowning.

i smile when i laugh at silly ideas i have that i can never share, and i frown when i hear news of things which maybe detrimental to me.

i have ideational expressions, but no emotional expressions, and it leads people to believe i am not a real person inside.
i do not know whether i am either, but i do not care too much as i am quite happy in my ambiguous existence.

i never have any expression on my face except for when i think of funny or annoying things. i seldom think in the 3rd person in an objective way, and mostly i am subjective and attending to trivialities with no expression on my face and no connection to any other race of thoughts.

I am more of the poker face. I don't exhibit much expression. One of the first times I remember being commented on about it was when I won our pack's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby in 1974 at the age of 9. After winning the whole thing, I was called up front to receive my trophy, savings bond award, and an electric power drill. I was very happy. But afterwards, my parents told me I could have at least looked happy. I looked at the photographs of me up there, and yes, no expression at all.

People have often thought I was stuck up or snobbish because I don't exhibit much expression---so they might think I am ignoring them. I find it hard to show emotion. My therapist explained some of this to me---I am not comfortable opening myself up to the world. I have observed video of me when I thought I was exhibiting emotion---and most of the time, I am poker faced.
