What do I have planned for valentines day?

Now let me see.

F**k all would be the reply to that one. I think it is a load of NT crap, and a complete waste of space, time and money just like Halloween is.

There you have my answer.

Nuffin, I disagree with mandatory present giving days. I would rather choose my own day on which to give a gift or take someone to dinner. I also don't have a bloke, so... still nuffin.

My birthday would be two days after that. I don't like Valentine's Day, not because people are buying things, but because the giving of gifts is not reciprocal. I know this is not true for everyone. Or at least, I hope not. If someone could explain that to me, that would be nice.

1. Go to Katsucon
2. Go out to diner with my boyfriend.

Pretty happy about this valentines day. I have a date. :)

Just have it be any normal day and then buy my husband some chocolate after that day because it be on sale.

Maybe I'll plan to play video games with my husband or watch a movie together. Not A League of Their Own or Benny & Joon.

Depending on what day it falls on; sleep in.

Well, since it's my birthday, I'm thinking of just going out to party Saturday night and invite a very cute girl from my high school to come down. Maybe I can get a birthday kiss at midnight if things go well.

Nice one... good luck on your birthday then.. :) It might happen if you're very lucky... play it smooth and normal, fingers crossed that it will go well for you. :)

Good call.

My friend always gets a ton of half-priced candy and it takes us months to eat it all.

My first real GF didn't want to dump me before V-Day, so she waited until afterwards...which was probably just as bad, if not worse :x

I got my husband to agree to cook. Since I cook every other day of the year, this is all I need to make Valentine's Day super-special.

I plan to do nothing. I am one of those people who sees it as a day for Hallmark to make more money by trying to make people be overly nice to each on designated days in the year. I refuse to participate in that. I reject the idea that I need a day to be more nice to my husband than normal. But I am far from romantic, so of course I feel that way. Really I think the holiday is insulting. I would prefer someone do something spontaneous and nice for me than have to have a day to remind them to do so. It takes away the sincerity from the act, in my opinion. But I do not hate on people who enjoy it, and for those of you who do the day up right, I hope you all have a lovely time.

I'm sorry so many of you seem to dislike the concept of Valentine's day. Sure, it's a cash grab by Hallmark and the chocolate industry and the restaurant business and florists.

But on the other hand, even though some of you make it clear how incredibly single you are, if you can imagine having an SO, don't you think they'd enjoy being invited out to dinner at a nice restaurant? Don't you think they might think it was nice if you gave them some flowers? So many husbands never buy flowers except for once a year. It shows that they made the effort, right? There really is no reason why you couldn't treat your partner like that all of the time, but it's OK that they have a special day for it. It's just for a lark. It's not a social disease or anything. It's just men showing their ladies that they love them. They like that kind of thing, you know.
