what made you begin to speak?

Nothing that I know of - wish I could be more helpful.

I had problems with speech too. Much like jeffhermy.
I used to pronounce purple 'purpoo'.
I could not pronounce 'squirrel'. I got made fun of by my sister for that.
I could not pronounce 'Leonie' which was the name of my friend's mum.
My memory only goes back to when I'm 3 or 4 and I can only remember a few things. Nothing about speech but I could talk at 3 or 4.
My speech didn't seem to develop more until I was 9 or 10. It was still a bit like how I was at 5.
My memory isn't great when it comes to my early years, so I'm sorry if I can't be helpful.
