Hi Sparrowrose. Yes, I missed your reply, sorry.

I've just looked at the youtube clip and it's not the film unfortunately. This one was definitely in English. However, The Exterminating Angel looks fascinating. I wish I could watch it now! Well remembered about the checkered floor, BTW. I saw it in the trailer. I've always had a thing for large checkered tiled flooring like that. Not sure why. And I can can see why I thought it might be that film, it had many of the elements I mentioned.

Huge sci-fi fan here. Favorite author: Philip K. Dick. Favorite films of genre: Blade Runner, RoboCop, Twelve Monkeys.
