I suppose I can on some level. I could as a child, and did, until it was explained to me that if you lie even once in a while, people won't trust you and won't know whether you're telling the truth and won't believe you even when you are telling the truth. Then I decided that I wouldn't lie anymore. Since then I've occasionally said things that I know aren't true without thinking about it, but I've practically never lied on purpose. I even have a hard time lying in games where that's an expected part of game play. It feels wrong.
So I suppose I'm cognitively capable of lying but nearly incapable of lying on some other level.
Some people who know me were surprised to find that I used to be capable of lying - they thought that I had never learnt to lie.

Now convinced that I'm a bit autistic, but still unsure if I'd qualify for a diagnosis, since it causes me few problems. Apparently people who are familiar with the autism spectrum can readily spot that I'm a bit autistic, though.
