And I thought my proclivity for shoelessness was just a personal thing. I don't like to wear shoes any more than I have to either. If my feet are shod too long at a time without being aired, they start to perspire, and then ... well, let's just say I have had to throw away perfectly good shoes because people complain about their odor.
I will wear shoes when necessary, but I take them off at my earliest opportunity. I don't mind wearing socks, so I will generally keep those on to keep my feet warm. I have poor circulation, so my feet get cold easily. Lately I have been getting careless around my home, and accidentally ramming my feet into furniture or walls. I don't do this anywhere else. Once I rammed my little toe into a piece of furniture so hard it bled, and I broke the toenail. Now I wear loosely-fitting house shoes around my home. Since I don't like wearing clothes any more than is necessary either, I would probably look silly to most people in my normal mode of dress while at home, wearing house shoes and socks, and nothing else. - LJS
