Aspies are good typers simply because we're perfectionists and like things to be correct. The reason I type well is because I can't stand the way a sentence looks if bad spelling and grammar is being used.

Daar ben ik het volledig mee eens.

I feel strongly about proper grammar and spelling. To me, it is absolutely unacceptable that many teens and adults use the wrong forms of "your/you're" and "there/their/they're". Those concepts are elementary; everyone should know them. I find it so important that I grow impatient with those who use poor grammar and prefer not to speak to them.

Hey. If I were more 'into' verbal speech, I'd sound like how I write. Whereas, many others write like how they speak. In other words, I sound like my writings when I speak and 'they' write like how they'd sound. My writings compared to their writings are VERY different. Because my speaking doesn't sound like 'their' talking, efforts are expended towards 'edging' me out of their conversations. Being edged out the countless times that I have, it would appear that I'd have even less motivation for verbalizing and more motivation for becoming a 'good typer'. :) But...I think if I were to find 'conversationalists' who were able and willing to verbalize with me in the ways I need/want (who understand there 'should be' more than what appears to be only one way to hold a verbal conversation), maybe I wouldn't have developed in the way I have with 'written' communications (including being a reasonably good typist...). Then I could be a lousy typer, too. Ha! What y'all think? :)

Yeah, aunt blabby. That's what I, more and more, think too. :) Guess that makes it okay enough that I can type my conversations. :D

A little bit of common sense and a built in spell checker with Firefox will go a long way.

Despite being known by many as a poor storyteller, the SammichEater is typically proficient in technical writing, as well as many other similar styles.
