Do you find it hard interacting online socially?

For me it's way more than not caring about the person or the topic. It's as basic as I said in my prior post: I don't have anything to say. I have no idea how people are able to keep talking all the time, I so seldom have anything to say at all. And when I do have anything to say, I say it and maybe that'll keep us preoccupied for some minutes, but then there will be silence because I'm out of 'material', like a comedian who has told all her jokes.

The chats tend to go something like this:



And so on.


I have had good first chats with some people, and sometimes it seems we hit it off well and have stuff in common, but already the next chat we'll start having difficulties or go straight to a scenario like the one above. Although I made that one up right now, I have had chats that have gone exactly like that in the past.

I'm no better off when chatting with people I know either, like my aunt or cousin.

There was one guy I managed to chat with for some hours at a time but that was only because he had so much to talk about, so I mostly responded to what he said. but then we became an item and chatted for hours every day and I ended up having nothing to say to him either.

I have no idea how people are able to talk and talk and talk.. There is so little to say! Where the bleep do they take it from?


That's what I like so much about forums: I can participate when and if and how much I like and/or can.

For some reason normal people have to a lot of stuff to talk about, or show off or something, i dont understand what they can talk about so long. Can definitely agree 100% on the conversation dying out very fast, because there is only so little i can say or write.

Not sure where normal people get all this stuff to talk about, especially girls, not long ago when i was out shopping, and i was standing in line at the supermarket, they went on and on for like 15 min straight, if my ears wasnt attached to my head, they would be on the floor. How on earth can they have so much to say.

Im guessing one key part is me missing the whole "need to impress other people". Oh see my amazing expensive new car, oh look and my expensive new pants, oh look at my amazing new expensive hair cut, or whatever.

same here! For me online communication is by far the easiest!
