I thought the test was pretty heavy with the sex questions. "Do you have unusual sexual preferences?" "Is sex important for you to keep a relationship alive?" "Do you dislike sexual intercourse other than as procreation?"

The reason I bring this point up is I'm asexual so questions like those don't apply to me. Also, quite a few of us on the spectrum are virgins and will remin like that their entire lives. That would make all those sex questions moot.

Your Aspie score: 128 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 75 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

^^^^
I had to select the "I don't know" option for each of those.
I mean, I am a virgin, have never been in a relationship and also I am a 16-year-old and one can't be sure of their sexuality until they reach adulthood, how the f*** do I answer those questions?

I think I have enough questions for the "NT attachment" group now so I can skip most (probably even all) of the explicit questions relating to sex.

Interestingly, one of those is "are you asexual?". Another is the one about chastity. :-)

I love these questions as well:

- "Do you have an alternative view of what is attractive in the opposite sex?"
>>> I have no idea. This isn’t something I talk about with anyone else. So, I answered “?”.

- "Are you more sexually attracted to strangers than to people you know well?"
>>> I am not certain what sexually attracted means. In any event, the people I know are far less attractive than people I don’t know (including models I see on TV or in pictures). So, I answered “Yes”.

- "Do you find casual sex rewarding?"
>>> Well, I have never had casual sex. I can guess it’s rewarding (because it seems quite common). Anyhow, I answered “No”.

I had more "?"s on this one. The one I remember (outside of the sex questions) is "Do you feel gratitude?" Well maybe... I can't imagine what it feels like at the moment, but if someone gives me something I thank them and appreciate I think, but the feeling I get is more like guilt if I recall correctly.

I also was found to be "very likely an aspie" while I was both on the older test.

Um...heterocentric question? I couldn't answer it.

Edit: This really isn't a heterocentric question, because if you are homosexual you should answer it as "yes". :-)

No, the way the question is phrased, answering "yes" would imply that I only like sexual intercourse for procreation.

Old aspie quiz scores:
111 aspie; 81 NT - both aspie and nt traits

New aspie quiz scores:
144 aspie; 61 NT - very likely an aspie

That's a HUGE difference

Also, some explanation about the changes would be useful. Like, what happened to the hunting thing?

Quote:
"Do you become shy or passive when you see somebody of the opposite sex that you are interested in?"

this should be changed to something else. not everybody is heterosexual. something like "...when you see somebody of 'the gender that you are attracted to' that you are interested in"

The hunting traits were merged with other groups (Aspie hunting with Aspie communication and NT hunting with NT talents). I've noticed this for some time, and direct factor analysis confirmed this. That also means some of the Aspie hunting questions were removed as some had lower relevance than communication issues.

rdos, I'd like to ask about the question 'Do you make small unusual noises during conversations?' (or words to that effect). I don't use odd noises during conversations, but I do use syllables that are hard for others to replicate during my oral rituals which I repeat many times daily. I don't usually repeat these oral rituals publicly, but I repeat them often in the company of my family. Would this be a 0, 1 or 2?

I'm now in the second phase (probably the last one). I still have issues with Aspie contact and Aspie attachment groups, but the new items probably will resolve those. The group scores should be pretty good now. I will probably use Confirmatory Factor Analysis to calculate group scores once "final version 3" is launched and there is a large enough sample to make factor analysis on.

I got the same results (give or take a few points) as I did on the last one. I always get almost the same scores (give or take a few points) on both this test and the AQ one.

Your Aspie score: 137 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 68 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I think my last score was 132 out of 200 for aspie.
My NT score was around the same.

My AQ score ranges from 34 to 38.

"Do you prefer to have friends of the opposite gender?"

Does that mean that one prefers (all/most of) their friends to be of the opposite gender, or they prefer to have (some) friends of the opposite gender?

Also, question 94 has a typo: "Do you cheer loudy at a sporting event or concert?"
And 114: "Are your eyes extra sensitive to stong light and glare?"

I'm in the process of improving the grouping process in Aspie Quiz. Previously, I couldn't find the groups with direct factor analysis, but a different method of doing factor analysis have changed this, so it is now possible to use direct factor analysis to get suggested factors, which is a much more objective method than previously used.

Because of this, a few groups in Aspie Quiz have been changed. The Aspie hunting group was merged with Aspie communication, the NT hunting group was merged with NT talents. The Aspie compulsion and talent groups were also merged, as were the NT compulsion and NT social groups. In addition to that, I've used many newly discovered social traits to form 3 distinct social groups on each side: Contact behaviors, general socialization behaviors and attachment behaviors. Some of these groups still lack enough traits.

There now is a new (experimental) version with 210 items, where 60 are experimental. Link: http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

Suggestions and feedback are welcome. The aim is to publish the new process of grouping in an autism-related journal.
