Usually I bypass the menu issue by purchasing exactly the same thing every time.
Me too. I'm always nervous of new restaurants because I'm an extremely picky eater and on more than one occasion have looked through entire menus without finding a single thing that I would eat. I have a set seven restaurants that I'll go to readily (not including fast food), and have a specific food for each one (primarily hot wings or barbecue ribs) and I never change it. It takes the stress out of deciding, plus, I'm always afraid of being adventurous in case I decide I liked my old food better than whatever it was I tried this time; it seems like a wasted opportunity to get food I enjoy that's not readily available to me outside of the restaurant, especially given that I don't eat out frequently.
