Maybe Sheldon, like some of us, tries to stim in private. I remember the episode where he was going down to the room in the basement at the University to play hakeysack all by himself - and Howard and Raj broke into his basement 'secret place' and were trying to figure out what Sheldon was doing down there.

I stim, more so in private. What can I say, I'm a stimmy kinda guy. I am self-conscious about it though....

I haven't seen Sheldon stim and I'm sure I would have noticed if he did. Lots of things about him are inconsistent though it's annoying, the programme makers should have done more research of ASD.

If I recall correctly, which I do, stimming isn't a requirement for diagnosis. I know this because I am diagnosed, but there hasn't been a stimming behavior in me that's ever been recognizable as such.
